Satya Nadella

Satya Nadella is an Indian-American business executive who has served as the chief executive officer of Microsoft since 2014 and as its chairman since 2021. Widely credited with reviving the company's fortunes, he steered one of the technology industry's most consequential turnarounds, shifting Microsoft's center of gravity from packaged software toward cloud computing and, more recently, artificial intelligence.

Early Life and Education

Nadella was born in Hyderabad, India, into a family that valued education and public service; his father was a civil servant. He earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the Manipal Institute of Technology before moving to the United States, where he completed a master's in computer science at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He later added a master of business administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, studying largely on weekends while working full time. Rise Through Microsoft

Nadella joined Microsoft in 1992 after a brief stint at Sun Microsystems.
